Engine Tekniks, are a family firm established in 1986 and takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail for all our valued customers. We believe in constant investment in new hi-tech modern equipment which is essential to re-work todays complex engines. Recent additions to equipment in our rebuilt and fully equipped workshops include the Serdi Millenium 3 valve seat machine, which fits valve seat inserts and cuts 3 angle valve seats 100% accurate due to its air floating alignment system, a Comec valve refacer, which runs along side and compliments the Serdi's accuracy and a Comec RP1300 re-surface machine, which is capable of refacing cylinder heads up to 1.3mtrs long. All this adds up to first class workmanship on first class machinery providing top quality results time and time again.

Bring us your cylinder head and we can return it in "as new" condition with:

  • New valve guides  
  • New or reground valves  
  • Re-cut or replaced valve seats  
  • Corroded and Damaged areas of the head face rebuilt and re-machined  
  • Meticulously cleaned and reassembled ready for re-fitting

  • Rebore and hone cylinders  
  • Bore, sleeve and rebore to original  
  • Re-machine block faces  

The work carried out on cylinder heads varies from basic repairs to performance modifications. We offer a service from cutting one valve seat to a full refurbishment. Valve seats can be re-cut to the manufacturers specification, 3 angle seats cut and heads machined to accommodate larger valves, and valve seat inserts fitted for unleaded conversions. We are able to fit valve inserts to any make of cylinder head including motorcycles.
 
Valves cleaned and refaced. Corroded heads can be welded and surface ground; all types of car and large commercial heads can be refaced.
 
The final assembly and resetting of tappet shims is the last stage of the process in getting your cylinder head back to an "AS NEW" condition.
